I can’t believe that day 3 is already over! This morning started out with a 9:30 appointment with one of our favorite ladies, one who you might recognize- Kathy Gardner! (You may recall that she was here this winter teaching us all about the silhouette cameo).
Ina helped us pick out a really lovely collection of new batik colors and prints- including some great precuts! These will be coming in September sometime. One of the tough things with shopping at market is that many of the fabrics are not available for months! We want to get them home and start sewing NOW!
We usually start at one end of the market hall and try to cover as much ground as possible per day. Today we started in row 100 and made it to row 500. So essentially we made it 5 rows out of about 30! There are about 30-4o booths per row…so there is a LOT to look at.
Here are a few of the sites we saw along the way;
One of my favorite moments today was when we ran into both Tano (our AMAZING Baby Lock representative) and Paul Ashworth (the President of Bernina). This picture is like photographing a unicorn…Barb, Baby Lock and Bernina all in one shot!
We saw some great projects using a new product to give your cameo projects some dimension made using a really neat new fabric line from Jim Holtz.
Speaking of Cameo projects, isn’t this pillow stunning? It’s a great pattern that includes the svg files to cut these amazing flowers. It’s been really neat to see how many designers are including cutting files for electronic cutters!
One of our favorite designers Angie from Lunchbox Quilts showed off her latest designs…how cute are these dogs??
Of course we had to stop by the moda booth- I loved their display…
How cute is this paper pieced deer? I happen to LOVE paper piecing, Barb…not to much:)
After market we took a walk to head to dinner…how neat is this mural?
I didn’t get a hot of our delicious meal, but you’ll take my word for it I hope…we had some VERY yummy steaks! Tomorrow is another day like today- hopefully we will cover a little more ground and see a few more booths than we did today…we’ve got Sewing and Embroidery clubs to figure out and new things to find….wish us luck!!
